Sakura w/LeAnn’s World 101

Hi friends! I just found a brand new digi company and fell in love!! And today I get to share one of my favorite digis from LeAnn’s World 101 Etsy ShopSakura! She is just adorable. In a kick-ass sort of way. haha!

I shared a sneak peek of my coloring of her about a week ago on my Instagram and I couldn’t wait to get her onto a card! Honestly, I was looking for some Asian-themed paper or some paper with stars on it or something… and then came across this older one from We R. I actually had it put aside in a “don’t think I’ll ever use it, maybe give it away” box, and then forgot that I had that box there hahaha!! Good thing I didn’t give it away. This paper is PERFECT for her.

I colored her up with my Copics and then added this sentiment from one of the new March releases at Kat Scrappiness – Everyday Brush Strokes. It as a perfect match!! And I’m so happy with how this card came out!!

Come join us in our FB group too and see what kind of fun contests we have going and what the rest of the DT is up to! Thanks for stopping by, and hope to see you again soon!

Project Life: The Plan + 2018 Week 8

A few days ago I posted a picture of albums and my brand-spanking new Epson PM400. Here it is again… I’m sooo in love with it!!

I don’t have a dedicated space for it, so it just sits in the corner of my workspace until I can figure out a better place for it. But for now, it works because I only really pull it out every weekend to print pictures.

This is such a game changer for me though! I can edit and print from my phone and get pictures straight into their albums! I still plan to do bulk printing at other places… I’m finishing editing our Japan pictures and sending them to Walgreens because there’s going to be 300-ish of them! No way I can or want to print that many at home!!

But going back to the albums and the plan… I’ve switched over to project life style scrapbooking for the most part. I still plan to scrap layouts every once in a while but it’ll be more special events and occasions and all-in-all special pictures. For the rest, I’m going to keep a 12×12 family album that I plan to do weekly. Each kid will also get their own 6×8 album. It’ll be done weekly-ish… it really all depends on what pictures I have for them that week.

And I’m proud to say that I’ve completed a week in our 2018 albums!! Haha. Plan is to stay current and also work backwards when I can. Eventually I’ll get caught up!! Not sure if I’ll do individual kid albums for previous years, but I’ll at least work on our family album.

So this is 2018 week 8. I still need to put the dates/week on my title card but other than that I’m pretty much done! Cards and stickers and embellishments from Ali Edwards Story kits and Studio Calico Documenter kits.

Nothing special… learning how to embellish and more focused on just making this routine than anything!!

And the kids’ albums, starting with Big A’s. I only really put in pictures that contain them. And I have at least one journaling card in here where I ask them to write a couple sentences about the pictures. They’re not the wordiest or most descriptive, so I’m debating on going in and adding a sentence of my own to give context.

Here’s Little A’s. He hid in the room when his cousins came over so I don’t have pictures of him. So he only has one page in here. And I’m okay with that!

And Baby Z’s. He typically has the most pictures in any week because he’s the most willing to take pictures. I don’t think I’ve blinded him enough. Same with him too, I ask him to “write” about the pictures. It usually ends up as scribble-scrabble so I try to add in a little note defining what he’s drawn.

For all albums I need to add in dates. But other than that, I’m done! And proud of myself!!

Thanks for stopping by! See you again soon!

Christmas Tags w/Eyelet Outlet

Hi Friends! I’m on the Eyelet Outlet blog again today to share another fun project with you!!

Today’s project is a set of monogrammed Christmas gift tags featuring some of the super cute washi tape in the Eyelet Outlet store! And yes, I know it’s February, and Christmas is waaaaay off, but it’s never too early to start stocking up on either Christmas crafting supplies or Christmas tags and cards so you’re ready to go once the season hits!!

For these tags, I laid out strips of the Santa WashiTree WashiHo Ho Ho WashiHolly Washi, and ZigZag Washi in Red on a scrap piece of white cardstock that measured 2″ wide. Then I cut the tags down to 3.5″ tall and then punched the scalloped tag top and threaded some red twine.

I used the initials of my oldest son’s good friends (and they’re common enough that I can use them for other people if we end up getting his friends something that doesn’t need a tag!)

Super easy peasy and a great way to use up both scrap paper and a handful of rolls of washi tape that I know everyone is stashing in their craft supplies haha!! Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!

Monthly Planner Share – March

Hey friends! I totally meant to do this yesterday but a migrane kept me off the computer and sent me to bed really early. I was in bed by 1030! That’s AMAZING for me!! But I’m really getting into planning and while I don’t decorate heavily like some people do (and do well, I might add!) I wanted to share my setup and what works for me.

So these are the three things I use regularly and take with me from desk to bedroom. 2 planners and a pen case. The big yellow one is my A5 Simple Stories Carpe Diem planner in marigold using the Say Cheese III inserts/set. It’s a Disney-inspired set and I absolutely love it! The gold-spiral one is a $5-ish dollar planner I picked up at TJ Maxx because I saw it when I was standing in line to pay and convinced myself I needed to get it. I didn’t know what I wanted to use it for when I got it but it was something I just COULDN’T leave without. And I can usually convince myself that I don’t really need things if I have no planned use for it. But for whatever reason, I just couldn’t convince myself of it that time!! On the top is my pen case. Target was clearing out all their makeup cases around the end of January and I picked this one up. It’s actually the smaller bag inside a bigger case but it works perfectly for my pens!

So let’s look inside my yellow planner first. It’s my life & family planner… meaning whatever goes on in my life or in my family’s life is in here. My monthly is purely for appointments and work schedules and the kids’ school and extracurricular activities. I also stamped in “post” reminders for Design Team blog posts that I have due. It’s just a visual reminder that I need to double-check my computer to make sure my posts didn’t hit any snags. It’s really a monthly calendar with a running to-do list on the inside and helps to keep them together. I used to keep a separate daily to-do list but got tired of adding another book to this pile of. Post stamp by Pink & Main.

I also use stamps to mark down any events that I vend at or crops that I attend since those typically take up my whole day. Circles by Ink Road, and Letters from Elle’s Studio.

My weekly before the pen – I use number stamps or number stickers (depends on what I have available) to date my days. I also hand-draw a line on the left side to make a small column specifically for household chores. You can see I’ve added some stickers to it.

This is a previous weekly after the pen and actually after the week is over. The first column is for household chores. The second column is my to-do list. I try not to list appointments that have been listed in my monthly spread. But I do write in appointments and meetings if they come up last-minute. The column on the right I’ve started to use stamps for. The last line is for dinner plans. Above that is for errands I need to run that take us outside of the house. I’ve started to use a roller stamp that says “tasks tasks tasks” for this (instead of “errands”) but I think I like “errands” better, so will probably go back to writing it in by hand once I run out of stamped pages.

The spiral-bound planner is specifically for crafting. It includes my crafting to-do list which also includes my Design Team calendar, blog posting calendar, and business/class calendar.

The beginning of each month opens to this at-a-glance page. Mine is blank because the month just started and I haven’t really filled it out yet!

I use the monthly spread specifically for blog posts. It tells me what I have to post for which team and at what time. I try to designate one color per team so that I know instantly what team I’m looking at.

The weekly pages include two columns. The one on the left (no lines) is for posting. Blog, Facebook, Instagram. The scheduling app I use posts to both Instagram and Pinterest at the same time so as long as I remember to schedule Instagram, Pinterest is taken care of for me! The column on the right side (with lines) I use as my crafting to-do list. Mostly I run off of my monthly calendar, doing what’s due next, but I usually have to remember to schedule in video filming and editing since it’s not yet a habit for me.

The end of the month has this notes page.

I wasn’t sure what to do with it, but wanted to incorporate a tracker back into my life, so decided to make it my tracker page. I flipped it on its side and added some extra lines, but think I made it work! Again, I could have used my dot-grid journal for this, but didn’t want to carry around another book. Top section lists crafty goals, bottom lists life/personal goals. Middle section just spells out what the goals are.

Now the important thing, my pen case. I can fit so much in here without it bulging or looking ridiculously stuffed. The zipper even closes nicely!

I dumped everything out on my workspace. Paper pad + frixion pens in 2 different sizes, pencil + eraser, white-out + 2 non-erasable pens and 2 highlighters.

These are the .5 frixion pens I got from Tokyo Disneyland. Really, I forgot that the refills I have at home are .7 and thought that I could just refill the pens with what I already have. whoops. There were 2 different sets that I found, Toy Story and Minnie Mouse. And with the exception of red, they both have different colors. So of course I needed them both!

These are the .38 pens. I got most of them locally or online. A handful (brown, yellow, magenta, light purple) I got in Japan.

I think that about does it for me today! I’ll be back at the end of the month to show my April planner set-up, plus to update anything that’s changed for me! Thanks for stopping by!

Coffee + Friends w/Eyelet Outlet

Hi Friends! I’m so excited to be posting today on the Eyelet Outlet blog as one of the newest members of the Eyelet Outlet team!!

I got to play with these adorable Coffee Brads to make my card. They come in red and white cups, and I decided for this card I wanted to stick with the white cups so that the red hearts stand out!!

And funny story… I wasn’t going to add in that red heart brad but I managed to smudge some red ink under the sentiment after I finished coloring up those hearts with my Copics and desperately needed something to cover it up! What a save that little red heart brad managed to be haha!!

Thanks for stopping by today and see you again soon!!
