Scrap It Thursday

This week’s Scrap It Thursday layout is a *gasp* double page spread!!!  haha.  Honestly, I wanted to do something quick and easy, seeing that I didn’t have a lot of time to get this layout done… and I had a TON of other things I needed to accomplish at the same time!  But once I flipped through my pictures, I found this set of pictures and they screamed at me to be scrapped right away!

It took me FOREVER to find paper that I could use – I’m one of those kinds of people who need to work with whatever strikes me at the time.  And once I get an idea of what I want to do or what kinds of colors I want to use, I have to follow through or it never feels finished to me.  Hopefully someone out there understands my kind of crazy!!  haha.

Anywhoo, so I knew I wanted a bold, royal blue color and a bright yellow – pulling colors from the shirts the boys are wearing.  I think it took me about 15 minutes to find this sheet of paper!  It’s actually from October Afternoon’s Seaside collection… from 2010.  haha!!  Whatever.  I have paper hoarding issues and I’m working through it (and my hoarded paper stash!).

I also used these white velvet Thickers from ’07? or some time so far back that I had to add my own adhesive.  haha.  And where are the WHITE Thickers, you may be asking?  I decided that the white didn’t stand out as much as I wanted them to, so colored them with some copics. If you look closely, between the ‘i’ and ‘l’ in ‘downhill’, I kind of made a boo-boo and colored the cardstock.

Journaling reads: “So, recently I downloaded a camera app on my phone… it had a self timer…  You guys started out nicely, and then things got crazy like they usually do.  I love finding pics like these!  ♥, mom”

Whoo hoo for adding another page into my album.  But wait, that means I’d actually have to move them from the finished pile into albums.  haha!!

lovies, =o) kel
