Speed Coloring Christmas Train w/KC

Hello friends! Sharing another speed coloring video using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! Baby Z actually saw this one on my desk and asked for me to color it up for him! I don’t think it’ll last long in his hands, but it was fun to do! This is the Christmas Train digital stamp and I’ve colored it up with my Copics.

Alternative Love/Valentines Cards w/CCS

Hi Friends!! I’m on the CutCardstock blog today 🙂 with a super fun video for some alternative love or valentines cards!

I started with some super fun Astrobrights Cardstock. Sometimes, I have a hard time working with this line of cardstock because everything is super bold and bright but I think it matched perfectly for these bright and fun floral cards today!

I ended up making 3 of the gardening tools “I dig you” card, and a whopping 5 of the other one. I always try to give out some handmade Valentines cards to show my friends how much I love them and think that these came out perfectly!!

The last thing I did, which is not in the video, was to add some color with my Copic Markers. Super quick to finish because there’s not a lot of coloring needed.

You’re Jawsome!!

Happy New Year friends! I’m so late with saying hello this new year! But I’m busy busy working on some new posts and slowly making my way back to crafting regularly… last semester kicked my booty and I STRUGGLED with keeping up with my blog and finding time to craft. But here’s to a new year and making time again!!

I used this peeking shark from a set from Pretty Cute Stamps. And I think he is just adorable!! He sits outside of the shaker window, because I couldn’t figure out another way to stick him behind the acetate but still have his fin peeking out like that! Still can’t think of a way that would have worked.

I colored him up with my Copics, and created my background with my Distress Inks. And to see the sequins in the shaker… I really think it does a good job of looking like bubbles!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Floral Thanks Envelopes

Hi Friends!! I’m blogging over at the CutCardstock blog today 🙂 with a super fun envelope project!

I started with some BEAUTIFUL Stardream Metallic Cardstocks. I absolutely LOVE the shine to this cardstock, and decided to take a chance with the stamp ink and Copic markers!!

I started with some Crystal Stardream Metallic Cardstock and my trusty envelope punch board. I knew I wanted to make a standard A2 envelope, so found the measurements on my board…

And cut down the Crystal Stardream Metallic Cardstock to size.

After punching and scoring my envelopes (I made two just in case I messed up!)…

I stuck down some scratch paper with some washi tape so that I could stamp on the front of the envelope without it going over the edges onto the flaps.

And then I stamped away using one of my favorite all-time floral stamps!

See how the washi and scratch paper masked off that corner so nicely!! I also added the sentiment stamp after the fact… I thought it was a nice finish for the bottom of the envelope, and the recipient definitely knows what kind of card to expect!!

Then I heat set the stamped images… This black ink is the one I usually use for Copic coloring but since this paper is more slick, I wasn’t sure how the ink would take. After I heat set the ink, I made sure to blot the stamped image a little bit to make sure it wouldn’t smudge too much!!

Adhere the flaps together and then you have an envelope ready to go!!

Big Gift w/WD

I’m working through my stash of printed digis and came across this cutie the other day, so figured I’d color her up for a Christmas card!  She is a retired digi from Whimsie Doodles called Big Gift.  So sad she got retired because she’s adorable!!

And she totally lives up to her name… that’s definitely a big gift she’s carrying!!  And oh her striped stockings…  They get me every time!!  I had so much fun making it multicolored!!

Hope your December is amazing so far… I can’t believe it’s Christmas!  Merry Christmas friends!  Have a safe and wonderful day!!

Subtle Shiny Snowflakes w/CCS

Hi Friends!! I’m blogging over at the CutCardstock blog today 🙂 with some shiny, sparkly snowflake cards!

I started with some BEAUTIFUL Stardream Metallic Cardstocks. I absolutely LOVE the shine to this cardstock, but wasn’t 100% sure my inks would dry nicely because of the sheen to it. So I decided to try and make some almost-white-on-white cards with a winter twist!

I started by stamping all over this sheet of Crystal Stardream Metallic Cardstock and then adding some crystal sparkle embossing powder to it. I know it totally looks white in this picture, but it melts clear with some glitter in it!

I cut them down to mat nicely on an A4 cardfront… here’s some pictures so you can see the sparkle. They didn’t stand out quite as much as I had hoped, bu tin some ways, I liked how subtle the snowflakes were!

I then stuck them down to my A4 cards, which I made from some Silver Stardream Metallic Cardstock. I initially wanted to do black or white, but decided to go with Silver because the shimmer matched, and the color was very nicely muted in the background! To match that, I stamped the “winter wishes” sentiment on some scrap Crystal Stardream Metallic Cardstock and then embossed it in silver embossing powder to match my card bases!

The last thing I did was to stick the sentiment banners on with some pop-dots and wah-lah! Quick and easy and pretty, if I do say so myself haha!!

Gnomies w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

I’m blogging over at Whimsie Doodles today!!  And I have been ITCHING to use this digi.  SUUUUUUPER digging gnomes recently.

These fun buddies are Gnomies towards the bottom half of the Christmas digis page. So cute.

I colored them up with my Copics and then matched them to this scrap paper I had in a super old DCWV Glitter stack.  Perfect match!!

Hope everyone’s staying warm wherever you are, and happy winter!  I graduated yesterday with my BA in History, so I’m super stoked to celebrate this winter with no more homework!!  haha!  Well, at least until I start grad school in the fall!!  See you again soon!!

Dress Warm Challenge w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

It’s time for a new monthly challenge over at Whimsie Doodles!!  We will have one lucky winner, who will be drawn at random to win a FREE Whimsie Doodles image of their choice from our latest release.

This month, the theme is “Dress Warm” and I’m once again using Latte Lizzie on the What’s New page!  But this time I colored her up in warm greys and blue… she looks so different than the last time I colored her up in pink and brown!!

And I love this paper as a winter paper… it’s totally just a floral paper though lol!  I think it’s the combo of navy, red, and lighter blue too haha!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you come join in the challenge!  See you soon!

Sparkle w/ATCAS

It’s challenge time over at the Addicted to CAS blog! The code word this week is SPARKLE.

I thought about doing some wintery snow card or glittery Christmas lights card because that would have totally been festive and everything since this is December but then thought, “nah.” haha! I also happened to grab this set by Paper Smooches – Spectrum while looking for something else and this layout just popped in my head. Love it when it works like this sometimes!  Because I know there are days where I stare and stare at a card or an image or a prompt and draw blanks. So it’s nice to have a card make itself in your brain every once in a while!

I colored him up with my Copics… yes, I said HIM. Amazing and sparkly unicorns are typically gendered male in this house! So anywhoo, I colored him up with my Copics, and added some stickles to his horn and on the stamped clouds in the square. I stamped the sentiment on that pink strip, well, because I totally smudged it when I tried to stamp the sentiment straight onto the card. haha!!! It was a quick fix, and I think it looks nice! The last thing I added were these iridescent purple sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Just love them, and I think I need to grab more pretty soon!!

And just because it’s so much fun, another close-up shot so you can see all the sparkle in the clouds and on his horn.

Hope you come join us! Thanks for stopping by!!
