You’re Fantastic! w/Kindred Stamps

Sharing a project today over at the Kindred Stamps blog!!

Today’s project features this nifty dude and his little friend from the Catcher of Beasts stamp set. I also broke out the distress oxide inks and the Distress Brick Stencil from the Kindred Stamps store.

I taped it down to a piece of scratch paper using some old washi that I looked at and thought, ‘why did I buy that??’… you ever think that about stuff you bought sometimes? Please don’t let it be just me!! haha. But I used a combination of Fired Brick, Wild Honey, and Candied Apple to make my background.

After coloring up the nifty dude, I cut him out using my Scan-n-Cut and then placed him at the bottom left corner… really it’s because there was a bit of a hole there where I didn’t blend out the inks so I wanted to cover it up!

I then stamped out the “you’re fantastic” sentiment on a piece of scrap cardstock, the same as the cardstock I was using as the base of my card. I used Versamark Ink and embossed it in a nice pale yellow color.

The last thing I did was to trim down the sentiment strip and tie some twine on the right edge of it. I popped it up with 3d foam.

Super happy with how this came out considering that I usually don’t break out the “messy” stuff so I’m a little out of practice with blending!!

CFC 210 w/CAS-ual Friday Stamps

It’s time for a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!! This fortnight, the challenge is:

I used the adorable stamp set Somebunny from the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps shop. (he also has matching dies too!)

I heat embossed the sentiment (also from the Somebunny stamp set) with some pink embossing powder on grey cardstock and then fit it on a scalloped rectangle die-cut piece. I added the grey baker’s twine and sequins to the card to finish it off. So cute. But I think it’s time for me to invest in some new/better colored embossing powder too… I really need some super fine powder for sentiments!!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you come join us in the challenge!!

Tricycle Boy w/Kinda Cute

Hello friends! Sharing another card using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! This is Boy Riding a Tricycle and he looks like he’s having a blast!

I colored him up with my Copics and then added him to this super fun glittered alphabet paper. I’ve been hoarding this since like, 2007-ish… not even joking. It’s over a decade old lol!!! I have been trying to make a really big effort to use what I have, especially since I haven’t really restricted myself from buying haha! I just buy less.

Huge Hairy Hugs w/Kindred Stamps

Hey friends! So proud to announce that I’ve joined the Kindred Stamps team for this quarter!!

And it’s my turn today to share a project today over at the Kindred Stamps blog!! There’s a fan club challenge going on in the Kindred Stamps FB Group this month, and I used the Galactic Adventures: The Third stamp set to create my card today. I knew I wanted to use this furry guy first… truth time – I never *really* watched the movies but Big A loves them, so like all the other things my kids fall in love with, I gravitated towards stocking up on stamps and papers and whatever else I could get my hands on!! This one is currently out of stock in the Kindred Stamps Store but there’s 2 other sets in this series so you can still start your collection lol!!

So anyway, back to the challenge in the Kindred Stamps FB Group this month… lol. It’s a Kindred Holidays Challenge!! Take a non-holiday stamp set and create a holiday card with it! Any holiday goes!!

I knew I wanted to do a snow-something card and dug through my stamps to put this one together!! The background is multi-stamped with a small Hero Arts set I got from someone’s destash… you know the like 1″x1″ clear stamp that comes with two rows of adhesive gems that Hero Arts sells?? Yup, that one! I love the snowflakes!! And then I stamped out the big Avery Elle snowflake and embossed it with some silver embossing powder. Then I added this cute hairy dude… colored up with my Copics.

The last thing I did was add some baker’s twine to the bottom and stamp out this “huge hugs” sentiment from a love and wedding themed Paper Smooches set. I know the sentiment is not holiday specific, but I think it still works as a holiday card lol!!

And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!! Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

CFC 209 w/CAS-ual Fridays

Hello friends! It’s time for a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!! This challenge, let’s see your take on the following sketch:

I used the Pretty Posies stamp set to create some floral pattern in the corners of the card, and then used the Shenanigans stamp set and some navy blue embossing powder to stamp the sentiment out at an angle. I wanted to put it straight across like in the sketch but the sentiment was too big lol! The last thing I did was add this orange strip to the card… it’s the backside of one of those cut-off strips on 12×12 paper that I saved for… something… and this just so happened to be what that something was haha!

Make sure you come check out the challenge! See you again soon!

Brew-tiful w/Time for Tea Designs

It’s my turn to share again with Time for Tea Designs! This features the drink cups and heart from the Milkshake & Iced Coffee Full Collection in the T4T Etsy store!

I printed these out and colored them up with my Copics… I wanted to make them big and the focal point of the card. And I found this sentiment from the handful of coffee stamps I had… I think I still need more though haha!! I wasn’t sure about pairing it with this orange paper but I think it worked out quite nicely!

Otterly Love You w/Kinda Cute

Hello friends! Sharing another card using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! This is Otter in the Water and he is just too cute. Little A is definitely into otters, and there are so few cute otter stamps that I make it a point to collect what I can!!

I colored this one up with my Copis and then added the sentiment using a couple different stamp sets lol. It was kinda fun to dig through my bin and find sentiments that worked for what I had in mind!! The last thing I did was to add some fun colored sequins down the side of the card. I thought about sticking with a blue and white kind of color scheme but then decided to add in some green and yellow/orange for fun, and it totally was fun!!

Hi Friends! I’m on the Kat Scrappiness blog today to share a super fun Halloween card using the Toil and Trouble Layered stamp set =o) Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday and I actually leave a bunch of Halloween decorations up in my craft room and in my work office year-round because I love it that much! So I’m sooooo excited to be able to start sharing the Halloween goodness!!

As much fun as coloring images with Copics is, sometimes it’s really nice to not color and this layered stamp set is just perfect for that! I actually worried that I wasn’t going to have enough shades of grey ink to work with, but ended up just using the same ink cube for all 3 layers… the layering of the ink created its own shading and I was so happily surprised!

The sentiment was stamped with Memento black ink and the kitty is popped up on some 3d squares. I also put some mats behind him using the Stitched Scallop Oval dies. The last thing I did was add some of these amazing jewels to the card. I diecut (for the stitched edge) strips from some coordinating scrap paper with the long rectangular stitched die from the Crafters Essentials 1 dies (the one in the bottom left corner of the item image in the store). I added the Orange Jewels to the strips, and then the Black AB (Rainbow) Jewels to the top corner of the card to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Hang In There w/Time for Tea Designs

Hello friends! Sharing a card I made using this adorable bunny digi Some Bunny Misses You in the Time for Tea Designs Etsy shop.

I think this digi (the whole Some Bunny Collection, for that matter!) is just too cute with his little bunny butt sticking out of the pot!! I colored him up with my Copics and then added him to some pastel-ish paper. I actually started out with the blue polka-dot paper and then found these little bits in my punched/die-cut box… if you’ve ever watched my YT videos you’ve seen me punch or die-cut pieces that will be hidden behind other pieces… well, this is why I do it and how I use them!!I popped that bunny up on some 3D dots and then added the sentiment to the top corner. So cute!!  At first I wasn’t sure about the pink and green, but it grew on me and I really like this card lol!!

Baby Elephant w/Kinda Cute

Hello friends! Sharing another card using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! This is Baby Elephant and Ball and he is just too cute with his little ball. So adorable.

I colored him up with my Copics and wanted to do something super fun and bright with him because he needed something as fun and cute as him!! And I found this glittered sentiment paper in my stash and thought that it would be perfect to pair him with, especially because I wouldn’t need to add much else to finish it off! But it needed something so I added a bit of brightly colored baker’s twine and a nice bow to finish it off!
