Friend’s Valentine’s Day Card w/Kindred Stamps

Sharing a project today over at the Kindred Stamps blog featuring these best buddies!! This adorable pair is Inseparable Friends from the Kindred Stamps Store!

I colored them up with my Copics and added them to some valentines paper… this part of the pattern in particular wasn’t super lovey-dovey and I thought it was a cute match for a friends Valentine’s Day card. And yes, I’m getting ready for Valentine’s Day already!

They are so cute together… and I think they work well alone as animals, not just as this set of pals! Which means I need to make more cards with them lol!! Thanks for stopping by!!

And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!!

Fight Like A Girl w/Kindred Stamps

Sharing a project today over at the Kindred Stamps blog!! Today’s card features this amazingly wonderful superhero!! This strong lady is She’s Wonderful from the Kindred Stamps Store.

I used some pearlized watercolors and tinsel gold embossing powder to create the background of the card. I made the background with the watercolors, and then used one of the limited edition stencils from the limited edition boxes that are sometimes available in the Kindred Stamps Store to create my stars… I took my Versamark pad and smooshed it into the stencil in order to get it in just the spots I wanted. And it worked perfectly haha! It was nice to not have to be gentle with the stencil and smoosh away lol!!

I love that everything came out so shiny and sparkly… And that sentiment is just PERFECT. I absolutely adore it!!

One Little Word 2019

Every year I participate in One Little Word (OLW) and recently it’s required more thinking in order to pick just a single word. This year I had it pared down to the following: clear, plan, refocus, pause.

I wanted something that represents my wish to simplify things and really just strip away all the things I was holding onto that didn’t necessarily maximize my potential to do what I really wanted to do and was taking time away from me realizing some of my goals.

And then I was browsing quotes online, and found this (via Google Search):

And I thought that this fits where I am for 2019. Plans last year wavered and changed and I rolled with it. Goals were put on hold or completely put aside in order to accommodate other things that seemed like priorities and I was okay… for the record, I’m usually not really good with change but I think I’m mellowing out and getting better with it and like to think that I did well in 2018!!

But this year is all about taking time to refocus on what really matters and what I really want to do. Now what that all means, I’m still figuring out. But starting next week I’m definitely busier (hello, job #4 and hello full-time grad school!) so I think I will figure out what really takes top priority as well as what I really do and do not (and will and will not!) want to make time for.

But in short, it means less design team work and more time to catch up on my scrapbooking and build my business classes and kits. Less shopping/spending money and more savings. Less stuff and more travel/experiences.

Refocusing on staying on track both with planning and finances. Refocusing on family and friends. Refocusing myself on schoolwork (refocusing my kids on schoolwork too!). Refocusing on my husband and my marriage (no date night in…. 5-ish months = sad). Refocusing on myself and my spirituality.

Refiguring out what’s important and refocusing on that.

What’s your word for 2019?

Hello Little Lady w/Kindred Stamps

Sharing a project today with Kindred Stamps!!

This uses one of the new release sets All the Feels from the Kindred Stamps Store.

I colored up this little lady to look like a …normal-ish little girl instead of a blue-haired girl with feelings!! And then I paired her up with some beautifully fun patterned paper and matching colors.

She came out super cute if I do say so myself lol!! And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!!

Love You w/Kindred Stamps

First off, Merry Christmas!! I’m so sorry I don’t actually have a holiday-themed project to share with you today… such bad planning on my part lol!! But I am sharing a project today over at the Kindred Stamps blog!! This is once again using the Park Cuties stamp set but this time I’m just using the HUMONGOUS castle image from the set and pairing it with some of the sentiments from the Galactic Adventures the Third stamp set over in the Kindred Stamps Store.

I stamped out the image with some Versamark ink and then embossed it with some WOW metallic silver embossing powder. It is so shiny and silver and almost glittery… love how it came out! And then I added the sentiment – the LOVE brush script and the YOU from the “you are” sentiment in the Galactic Adventures the Third stamp set. Because the set is clear it’s super easy to ink up just the YOU part without having to do any fancy masking… just careful ink-application!! haha!

Thanks for stopping by today, and I wish you and yours a wonderfully amazing holiday season!! And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!!

Autograph Book w/Kindred Stamps

Sharing a project today over at the Kindred Stamps blog featuring this amazing Park Cuties stamp set!

Hubs and I are surprising the kiddos with a special trip next year and it’s a long-standing tradition for me to make them autograph books so they can have the characters sign and have keepsakes to take home. So when I saw this set, I thought it was perfect for some brand new books… the last trip we took to this magical land was in 2013 so it’s about time we have a new set of books!!

Since I have 3 boys, I chose to use the boy images from this set. And I paired it with some magical paper… SUCH a perfect match. And since the book is 2-sided, I decorated both covers. I figure it can be signed from either end since all the inside pages (50 of them!) are blank. =o)

So happy to have gotten to play with this set! And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!!

It’s NEW RELEASE TIME AGAIN!!! I’m using this amazing set, Feelings. I absolutely love them. But I haven’t seen the movie so it’s time I go watch it I think lol!

My first card features the whole colorful gang. I looked up these friends on the internets to make sure that I used the right colors lol!

And my second card features just this flaming fella. I absolutely LOVED this sentiment that comes in the set and thought it was a perfect fit for a love or Valentines card. (I’m not the only crazy one starting next year’s cards, right?? lol)

This uses the Adventures Abroad – Australia set from BDD and the G’Day set from the Kindred Stamps shop.

I actually used the sentiments from the Adventures Abroad – Australia set and then foiled it with gold foil before using some Distress Oxides and blending out a small background (I placed the HBD sentiment and two images on the card just to get an idea of where I wanted them so I knew where to do the blending!). And then I stamped, colored, and cut out the two fellas from the G’Day set, popping them up on some 3D dots over the HBD sentiment that also comes in the G’Day set.

And here’s your passport stamp!! (right click and save)

SO MUCH FUN. I haven’t foiled in a while so this was super fun to do!!

Congrats w/PPP4U

Hello friends!!  So sorry I’ve been more-or-less quiet on the blog recently. End of semester stuff has me going crazy and I haven’t had time nor motivation to craft! But I’m sharing a card with this adorable Bella Bear diecut  in the PrettyPaperPieces4U Etsy Store!

I kept it simple… honestly I didn’t know what colors I wanted to use with her because I was trying to match the flowers on her head. But even with all 13-trillion sheets of patterned paper in my stash, I couldn’t find one that matched well. So I went with something simply complementary instead and am super happy with how it came out!

Make sure you stop by the PrettyPaperPieces4U FB Group to see what else is going on… lots of cuteness!!

Elf Boy w/Kinda Cute

Hello friends! Sharing another card using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! This cutie is Elf Boy and Toy and I just think he is so cute and looks so happy with that toy duck!!

I colored him up with my Copics and then added him to some red-striped paper… I have been holding on to this for years to use for a Christmas-themed… something… either a card or scrapbook page or something. And I’m so proud of myself for cutting into it!! haha!

Make sure you stop by the Kinda Cute by Patricia Facebook Group and see what the rest of the team is up to!!
