Beth Duff Designs Collaboration Hop w/Kindred Stamps

Thank you for joining us on the Kindred Stamps/Beth Duff Designs collaboration hop! We hope you’ve enjoyed the pairing of these sets.

For joining us, we have a little gift for you! Kindred Stamps has a free digital downloadable passport available. Then you will want to visit each blog on this hop, download the free digi, color it, add it your passport, and submit it to the album in the Kindred Stamps Fan Club and Unicorn Crafts Facebook groups to be entered into our giveaways! Each company will be hosting a different giveaway. The opportunity to play will end December 30th for each company!
Unfortunately, due to the closure of Beth Duff Designs, the physical sets may be out of stock but all of the sets used will be offered in a digital bundle from Dec 8-11! Be sure to join the Kindred Stamps Fan Club and Unicorn Crafts to see more from our teams.

This uses the Adventures Abroad – Australia set from BDD and the G’Day set from the Kindred Stamps shop.

I actually used the sentiments from the Adventures Abroad – Australia set and then foiled it with gold foil before using some Distress Oxides and blending out a small background (I placed the HBD sentiment and two images on the card just to get an idea of where I wanted them so I knew where to do the blending!). And then I stamped, colored, and cut out the two fellas from the G’Day set, popping them up on some 3D dots over the HBD sentiment that also comes in the G’Day set.

And here’s your passport stamp!! (right click and save)

SO MUCH FUN. I haven’t foiled in a while so this was super fun to do!!

And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!!

Congrats w/PPP4U

Hello friends!!  So sorry I’ve been more-or-less quiet on the blog recently. End of semester stuff has me going crazy and I haven’t had time nor motivation to craft! But I’m sharing a card with this adorable Bella Bear diecut  in the PrettyPaperPieces4U Etsy Store!

I kept it simple… honestly I didn’t know what colors I wanted to use with her because I was trying to match the flowers on her head. But even with all 13-trillion sheets of patterned paper in my stash, I couldn’t find one that matched well. So I went with something simply complementary instead and am super happy with how it came out!

Make sure you stop by the PrettyPaperPieces4U FB Group to see what else is going on… lots of cuteness!!

Elf Boy w/Kinda Cute

Hello friends! Sharing another card using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! This cutie is Elf Boy and Toy and I just think he is so cute and looks so happy with that toy duck!!

I colored him up with my Copics and then added him to some red-striped paper… I have been holding on to this for years to use for a Christmas-themed… something… either a card or scrapbook page or something. And I’m so proud of myself for cutting into it!! haha!

Make sure you stop by the Kinda Cute by Patricia Facebook Group and see what the rest of the team is up to!!

Mini Birthday Wishes w/Kindred Stamps

Hello friends!! I’m sharing a mini gift tag or 3×3 card over on the Kindred Stamps blog featuring the one-eyed monster from the You’re A Scream stamp set!

I colored it up with my Copics and then added it to a mini 3×3 card… I used my Distress Oxides and some masking to color up that strip, and then embossed the sentiment on top of it with black powder 🙂

LOVE. I can’t wait to make more cards with this set!! And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!! Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!!

Teacher Thank You w/Kindred Stamps

Hello friends!! I’m over on the Kindred Stamps blog sharing a teacher thank you card today!! And today I’m using the bus from the Learning is an Adventure set.

I colored it up with my Copics and then added it to some fun alphabet paper. Because the paper is so dark I wanted to make sure to pair it with shades of the same color, which this time was blue! And then I added that button for a pop of a different color!!

LOVE. I can’t wait to make more cards with this set!! I still have a frizzy-haired teacher to play with from this set too! And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!! Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!!

Meal Planning Bujo w/PPP4U

I’m SUPER DUPER trying hard to make sure I get myself organized and back into a better routine before the new year… I know, I know… usually people try to establish new routines and get organized as part of their New Year’s resolutions, but I need to get my butt in gear before then because I start my 4th(!!!) job on January 2nd and can’t afford to be figuring out how to stay on track after it gets crazy… I need to try to prevent the crazy!!

So that being said, I decided to go back to my bujo for some things… I absolutely love Bullet Journaling because it lets me design my pages the way I want them to be and I can always change it up if the layouts or whatever isn’t working for me!! And yes, it does take time to do, but I think it’s work the flexibility!!

So the first thing I decided to get organized was our meal planning. I try to cook 6 days a week and definitely need to be organized and on track with that! So this is the layout I came up with for my meal planning… every week will take just one page (versus the whole 2 page spread) unless we’re hosting a big dinner or something that needs extra space to plan out. And I added this ADORABLE die cut kitty from the PrettyPaperPieces4U Etsy Store, this is Coppers and I absolutely adore his (her?) flower crown. So super cute. And you can see more of his friends peeking out on the sides… they’re all available in the PPP4U store!

Okay. So one side has my shopping list which is made on a lined post-it so I can take it out and send it to the store with hubby if needed. And I wanted to be able to tack down the bottom so it doesn’t get folded or anything, so chose to use the die cut!! I added some foam tape to the back of Coppers and then added some Tack-it Over and Over to the foam tape, letting it dry before I put it down so it creates that repositionable hold! Now I can pull Coppers off the post-it and move him to another page to use again later =o)

The other side… and I say “one side” and “other side” because I plan to switch it from one side to the other as I go through this notebook… anywhoo. The other side has my bujo side… I made 6 boxes because I cook 6x a week, and then added some small boxes on the bottom for additional stuff. The boxes on the bottom are for “bake” and “notes” – I miss baking and hope to start baking again at least once a week! The other box, “notes” just gives an overview of the week + the dates for the week. I put down holidays and days that I know I won’t be home for dinner or know I will have things that will interfere with making dinner.

Each dinner box has the meal in colored pen, and then I make a list of all the ingredients I know I’ll need to complete the meal, including the starch and side if I plan to have one. It’s by no means a comprehensive recipe list, but just stuff I know off the top of my head I know we need. And I try to do one fish, one pasta, one chicken, and one (mostly) vegetarian. It doesn’t always work that way, but it helps me come up with meals for the week because sometimes I can’t figure out what I want to make!

This is one grid notebook from a set from Sam’s Club that I got on clearance over the summer. I had no clue what I wanted to do with it lol. But I’m super happy with my use of it now… It has a flexible cover and is perfect to slip into my purse when I go shopping.

That’s it for me… I’ll check in with this meal planner in a few weeks after I get used to it and let you know if it still works or how I’ve changed it!! Make sure you swing by the PrettyPaperPieces4U FB Group and see the other goodness from the PR team, I’m excited to see what everyone else comes up with!!

Unicorn w/Kinda Cute

Hello friends! Sharing another card using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! This is one of the 3 cuties from the Unicorn Digital Stamp set!!

I colored him up with my Copics and made sure to give him a rainbow-colored horn because why not?? haha! And then I thought that he would be a perfect Christmas card, matching him with this super bright and fun snowflake paper from Doodlebug. And I was SUPER lazy lol and didn’t feel like embossing a sentiment so I used some of these super old Christmas rub-ons! I think I’m finally down to my last few packs of this white “Merry Christmas” and am going to be super sad to lose them!!!

CFC 212 w/CAS-ual Fridays

It’s time for a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!!

This challenge I’m using the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps set Joy to make my card. And I went with a shaker card for this one… but I think I used too-dark sequins to fill my card!!

I stamped and embossed on a piece of clear acetate, and then used some cute kraft-colored washi with snowflakes to make my shaker window and hide the foam tape! The last thing I did was add some matching twine to the top of the card. But all in all, I think I still love this one!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you come join in the challenge!

New Release w/Kindred Stamps

It’s new release time over at the Kindred Stamps!! I got to work with this AMAZINGLY cute set, You’re A Scream. These scary cute monsters are just too amazing and I’m totally in love with them!!

My first project is my admittedly lazy project. lol. I totally didn’t feel like breaking out the Copics and instead decided to watercolor my card. So I heat embossed the pair of friends in the bottom corner and then broke out the paints!

I think it still came out pretty good!! The last thing I did was to add the sentiment to some flags in coordinating colors in the top left corner to balance them out =o)

My 2nd project with this You’re A Scream set I did break out the Copics for!! We have called Baby Z our little monster since the beginning, and Halloween and cute monsters have been his theme since day 1 so this was a perfect match!! When I saw this green one-eyed cutie I knew I wanted to make a layout featuring Baby Z in his first brithday Halloween costume!!

And don’t laugh… I’m still finding my way back to scrapbooking and totally trying to commit to making  more layouts and filling more pocket pages more regularly and this is a step to get there! haha 🙂

I might go back and actually re-do the journaling because I’m sure I have a pocket card that would work perfectly with these colors or this theme… I have ten million in my collection so one is bound to work, right?? haha!! Did I just jinx myself??? lol.

Make sure you check back on Friday to see all the new cuteness in the Kindred Stamps Store!! And make sure you come join us over at the Kindred Stamps FB Group to see the amazing makes everyone else is sharing!! There’s a New Release Event going on right now where you can see sneaks of all the new stuff for November too!! Join us there!!
