Hi Friends! I’m on the Kat Scrappiness blog today to share a super fun Halloween card using the Toil and Trouble Layered stamp set =o) Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday and I actually leave a bunch of Halloween decorations up in my craft room and in my work office year-round because I love it that much! So I’m sooooo excited to be able to start sharing the Halloween goodness!!

As much fun as coloring images with Copics is, sometimes it’s really nice to not color and this layered stamp set is just perfect for that! I actually worried that I wasn’t going to have enough shades of grey ink to work with, but ended up just using the same ink cube for all 3 layers… the layering of the ink created its own shading and I was so happily surprised!

The sentiment was stamped with Memento black ink and the kitty is popped up on some 3d squares. I also put some mats behind him using the Stitched Scallop Oval dies. The last thing I did was add some of these amazing jewels to the card. I diecut (for the stitched edge) strips from some coordinating scrap paper with the long rectangular stitched die from the Crafters Essentials 1 dies (the one in the bottom left corner of the item image in the store). I added the Orange Jewels to the strips, and then the Black AB (Rainbow) Jewels to the top corner of the card to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

Hang In There w/Time for Tea Designs

Hello friends! Sharing a card I made using this adorable bunny digi Some Bunny Misses You in the Time for Tea Designs Etsy shop.

I think this digi (the whole Some Bunny Collection, for that matter!) is just too cute with his little bunny butt sticking out of the pot!! I colored him up with my Copics and then added him to some pastel-ish paper. I actually started out with the blue polka-dot paper and then found these little bits in my punched/die-cut box… if you’ve ever watched my YT videos you’ve seen me punch or die-cut pieces that will be hidden behind other pieces… well, this is why I do it and how I use them!!I popped that bunny up on some 3D dots and then added the sentiment to the top corner. So cute!!  At first I wasn’t sure about the pink and green, but it grew on me and I really like this card lol!!

Baby Elephant w/Kinda Cute

Hello friends! Sharing another card using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! This is Baby Elephant and Ball and he is just too cute with his little ball. So adorable.

I colored him up with my Copics and wanted to do something super fun and bright with him because he needed something as fun and cute as him!! And I found this glittered sentiment paper in my stash and thought that it would be perfect to pair him with, especially because I wouldn’t need to add much else to finish it off! But it needed something so I added a bit of brightly colored baker’s twine and a nice bow to finish it off!

Watercolor Cacti w/Jaded Blossom

I’m sharing another GDT make for Jaded Blossom today!!

This is a fun and quick watercolor card featuring some of the adorable cacti from the You are Succulent set. They were so much fun to color up I made sure to get some extras colored for a future project! And they’re the perfect size too!!

Not super sure how much I like the washed-out look of the sentiment. It was actually a mistake on my part… I watercolored and THEN stamped on the sentiment. I think it would have been a darker and more bold sentiment if I had stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment first before watercoloring. But the more I look at the sentiment the more I think I like the washed-out look because it matches the watercoloring! Does that make sense? haha!

Thanks for stopping by, and see you again soon!

CFC208 w/CAS-ual Friday Stamps

It’s time for a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!! This challenge, the theme is to:

I used the Pretty Posies stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps to create this card. I knew that I wanted to use this pink polka-dot paper, but couldn’t figure out what color to make the flowers for the longest time. And then I found this beautiful sequin mix and thought to match it… And so settled on a lighter brown for the flowers (Copic E30’s). At first I wasn’t sure about brown flowers, but I think it works nicely with this color scheme!

The sentiment is also from the same Pretty Posies stamp set and my original thought was to add it under the flower/leaves but it was waaay too long for that lol. So I added it on top of the leaves but under the small flower. And now it fits haha!!

Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon! Make sure to swing by the challenge and join in!!

Simply Hedgie w/Time for Tea Designs

Hi friends! Sharing another make using an adorable digi from Time for Tea Designs! This is the super cute hedgie from the I Love Fall Collection.

I paired him up with some beautiful fall paper… I only have a handful of sheets of Fall/Autumn paper that I usually buy on clearance because I so rarely use it, and was so delighted to find this one in my stash! I paired it with this beautifully simple sentiment from an old Hero Arts set I got from someone else’s destash and added some brown baker’s twine to finish it off. I tried to keep this whole thing simple and very well color-coordinated!!

Bright Coffee Fun! w/Kat Scrappiness

Hi Friends! I;m on the Kat Scrappiness blog today to share a bright and fun coffee card using the new Let’s Get Caffinated stamp set =o)

I definitely wanted to make the sentiment the focus of the card because it’s so cute!! I think it would be super cute to make it like a multi-colored subway art kinda thing too… something to try next!!

The sentiment was stamped with Memento black ink. I used the super cute coffee cups from the Coffee Chick stamp set by Your Next Stamp to randomly stamp out a background and then colored them up with my Copics. I wanted to stick with a fun and bright scheme but kinda messed up the spacing of the 3 colors which is why you’ll see a couple darker shares of green and orange in there haha!! After stamping out my sentiment, I trimmed it out to fit on a nice bright turquoise cutout from the Stitched Postage Stamp Edge Rectangle dies and popped it up on some 3d squares. The last thing I did was add some glitter to the flowers on the cups because glitter=more fun!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

OMG I Made a Layout!! w/Jaded Blossom

Now if you’re here from the Jaded Blossom Blog you’re in the right place, if you’re just passing through start at the beginning because you don’t want to miss a thing.  I also have the complete line up at the bottom.

Here is what I made:
First off, let me just say that OMG I SCRAPBOOKED!!!!! haha! It’s literally been YEARS… like at least 3 years since I’ve scrapbooked a traditional layout and although it took me forever to finish it, I had SO MUCH FUN doing it!! And yes, that’s part of the reason this is from 2014… but also because this might be the last year my kids have dressed up in costume. Baby Z is still game, but the older two are not!!

I used Card Layer Dies 1, Border Dies, Paper Bag Die, Halloween Scenic Dies, Alphabet Dies, Halloween Tags Stamp Set, Bewitchy Stamp Set, Let’s Be Frank Stamp Set. Phew that was a mouthful lol!! Can you spot them all??

I actually cut the letters from the Alphabet Dies from the green/purple and also the orange so I could back them like a shadow and have them stand out more on the black/grey background paper… and do you know how long it took me to find this paper? I have like 30lbs of Halloween patterned paper alone and went through every single sheet in order to find the one I wanted to use! haha!!! I also added some random star stickers from a Halloween line that coordinated nicely with the colors of my letters!

Here I used the Paper Bag Die to make this journaling pocket. I cut down a piece of paper to fit inside the pocket (3″ wide by 4.25″ tall) and then trimmed off the top with a scallop border from the Border Dies, stamping one of the sentiments from the Let’s be Frank Stamp Set. Then I offset the Trick or Treat sentiment from the Halloween Tags set on the Paper Bag. I initially was going to center it on the Paper Bag but didn’t want to block so much of that cute paper. Improvisation. lol.

The last thing I did was add some extra little detail in the top corner with these cuties!! Images from the Let’s Be Frank and Bewitchy Stamp Sets, colored with Copics. Behind them I added some wide fishtail banners from the Card Layer Dies 1, and then the wood fence from the Halloween Scenic Dies

Trick or Treat Tag w/Jaded Blossom

It’s release week over at Jaded Blossom!! It’s the last day of the new release peeks and I have another fall stamp set + the free 3×4 set! Here’s the Fall Fun Stamp set and the Fall Faces Stamp set!!

I was so stoked to see that some of the Fall Faces fit perfectly on the larger images in the Fall Fun Stamp set! I chose to pair the big pumpkin with the big Jack-o-Lantern face. I also used the Treat Tag Die to make the base of my card, trying to stick with a more neutral scheme so the orange would pop! I also added the fence from the Halloween Scenic Dies and then popped the adorable Jack-o-Lantern up on some 3D dots. The sentiment is from the Halloween Tags Stamp set… I adore how this whole release works together so well!

Thanks for stopping by, and see you again soon! Just one more day of Jaded Blossom goodies coming up!! And don’t forget to join in our blog hop on Friday!!

Halloween Bottles w/Jaded Blossom

It’s release week over at Jaded Blossom!! Today we have another amazing Halloween stamp set Halloween Tags.

I wanted to do a card with this one… something about those bottles just screamed card to me! Just like the Fall Tags stamp set, the scripty sentiments in the Halloween Tags stamp set is so beautiful and simple!! So I used the Card Layer Dies 2 to create a nice background with a busy pattern and then added the two bottles colored up with my Copics. I knew I wanted to make the bottles stand out, so chose to make them the only brightly colored things on the card!

Thanks for stopping by, and see you again soon! Just one more day of Jaded Blossom goodies coming up!!
