Easter Egg Bun w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

I’m blogging over at Whimsie Doodles today!!  This cutie is just a quick reminder to join in our monthly challenge!  As always, it’s anything goes with an optional twist, and this month the twist is “Bunnies.”  This cutie is Bunny Egg on the Easter digis page.

I paired her up with some super bright and super old (surprise I’ve used old paper lol!!) paper I couldn’t figure out what to do with for so long!!  But I think this came out so bright and cheery and fun, I love it!!  And here’s a closeup of how I popped this cutie up and colored her up with my Copics.  And yes, I HAND fussy-cut this cutie out.  I don’t trust my Scan N Cut to cut precisely on the lines… giving a little border is okay but just not on the lines!!

So fun!!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon!!  Hope to see you join in this month’s challenge!!!

Beary Best Flags w/OAK

Here’s another card from the Bear Hugs set in the Oak Tree Stamps store… I think it’s all sold out as a clear stamp, but the digital files are still available so at least there’s that option!!

I just couldn’t resist… I made another CAS card with him, adding some super fun banners and colorful baker’s twine to the top of the card to finish it off!!

This is also card #5 in my WIW series for this set!!

With Heartfelt Sympathy w/CCS

Happy March friends!!  kel here to share my first post as part of the CutCardstock Design Team!!!  Can I just share how *squeeeee!* excited I am?!?

For my first project today I’m sharing a simple sympathy card featuring some colors from the Curious Metallic line!!  And I apologize for the shadows in some of my pictures… we just finished our window renovations and I’m still trying to figure out how to deal with the new way the light comes into the room lol!!

I cut into three different colors of Curious Metallic cardstock, making an A4 base with 111# Nude, mat with 111# Blue Print, and front with 89# Poison Ivory.

I took some fun circle stamps in some matching ink colors and stamped around on the 89# Poison Ivory card front in a random-ish pattern.  Make sure to put some scratch paper down when you stamp off the edge so you don’t have ink everywhere lol!!

The last thing I stamped was a 1″ scrap of 111# Nude, cut into a little flag banner and then stamped on with a simply beautiful sympathy sentiment.

I then glued everything together, centering all the panels and then adding the sentiment banner to the top right corner of the card.

I always struggle with sympathy cards because I tend to always make them floral or kind of dull and colorless.  So it was a challenge for me to do something different, and I have to say that I’m really happy with how it came out!!

And I like that there’s a little flare of shimmer to the card too… I’m always afraid of adding too many embellishments but then afraid that it’s too boring without it… so this little bit of shimmer is just perfect!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you come back soon!!  And make sure to check out the CutCardStock Facebook Page to see what else the Design Team is up to and to make sure to stay up-to-date with the latest sale!!

Teacher Thanks w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

It’s time for a new monthly challenge over at Whimsie Doodles!!  We will have one lucky winner, who will be drawn at random to win a FREE Whimsie Doodles image of their choice from our latest release.

This month, the theme is “Anything Goes w/optional twist: Work Related.”  This sweetie is Apple Lizzy at the top of the School digis page!

So I made it a point to go through my printed/stamped digi stash and try and see if I can pare some of it down… my folders are overflowing!!  And I think I have enough printed Whimsie Doodles digis to last me the whole year lol!!  In fact, I probably have enough printed digis to last me a couple years!! haha!!

Anywhoo, back to my point… this sweetie is one Iʻve used before but I definitely wanted to make another card with her!  She is too cute not to use again and again!!

Hope you come join us in the challenge, you donʻt need to use a Whimise Doodles digi to play!!

I colored Abby up with my Copics and then added her to some star paper… it’s actually from a baby boy paper line, can you tell?!?  Yay for multi-theming paper haha!!  I finished her off with some super cute cloud washi and a sweet sentiment too!!

Thanks for stopping by… I think I finally got the issue with my server and blog always going down/unable to access it resolved… we shall see!!  But whatever happens, I hope to see you again soon!!

2016 Favorite Cards of the Year + OLW 2017

This is so overdue since it’s almost the end of January… yikes!  Time sure does fly!!  I’m still working on my 2016 goals… waiting to hear details on a job offer I got last week to try and plan my goals out.  Gotta be realistic about my time with the prospect of a full time job on top of my current responsibilities, the most important/priority being school, kids, home, family, friends, crafting, and business!

First my One Little Word… last year, my word was PASSION.  I had spread myself too thin and wanted to refocus on the things that stoked PASSION in me, and things that I was PASSIONATE about.  And I think that over the course of the year, I managed to do at least a little of what I intended to do!  But I definitely burned out towards the end of the year, and the sparse blog posts can attest to that!!

The start of this year brought about some really big changes and they’re all amazingly good things.  Different, but still good!  So with that in mind, and how I want to keep moving forward… onward and upward… my word for 2017 is HUSTLE.

Gotta work hard to get what I want but gotta remember to stay humble.  I think everyone has an ideal of who they want to be and what they wanna look like, so this year is all about the HUSTLE to get there and get to that ideal.

And now onto my 2016 year in review.  Here are my favorites from 2016… it was REALLY hard to choose just one!!!

January: Book Lover

February: Panda Balloon

March: Goldfish

April: Thanks Squares

May: Uncommon Friendship

June: DIY Coloring

July: Baby Elephant

August: Love You

September: Princess

October: Wheelie Fun

November: Clearing Leaves

December: Ugg Leah

Skinny Jeans Abby w/WD

First I want to apologize for being gone for so long!!  I was having MAJOR issues with my server… I simply couldn’t log in or access any of the backend!!!  So blogging was on hold for a while while I got everything fixed.  So thanks for your patience!!!  Things are finally better and sorted so I’ll be back more regularly!!  I also didn’t even get to do my year in review post or my One Little Word for 2017, so look for that soon!!

Now onto the actual post!  This is a card I posted over at Whimsie Doodles the other day!!

Whimsie Doodles Banner

Happy belated New Year greetings to you!!  How is your year going??? I hope everyone is doing well!!  This sweetie is Skinny Jeans Abby at the top of the People Digis page!

I just adore her scarf and am completely envious of her skinny jeans… I think my New Year’s resolution every year is to lose weight and I haven’t been successful for the past couple years haha!!  Hope this year is better!

I colored Abby up with my Copics and then added her to some BEAUTIFUL script paper that’s a perfect match!  So pretty… I love it!!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!!

Ugg Leah w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

I’m blogging over at Whimsie Doodles today!!

This beauty is Ugg Leah and she can be found towards the top of the Christmas digis (under Holidays/Events) page.

I paired her up with some paper from a 6×6 Jillibean Soup pad + some DoubleDot scraps.  You can’t tell (yay!) but that blue dot circle behind her is actually two pieces! I didn’t have a single piece big enough to make the full circle but I was able to do two almost-halves and then hid the seam behind her… perfect way to stretch your scraps!!

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!  One more week until Christmas, I’m so excited!!!

I’m blogging over at Whimsie Doodles today!! This sweetie is Missyʻs Therapy towards the bottom of the People Digis page!

I just adore her pigtails!  And I thought this was appropriate with all the Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping people are doing!  Okay, okay.  All the Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping Iʻm doing.  haha!!
