Dress Warm Challenge w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

It’s time for a new monthly challenge over at Whimsie Doodles!!  We will have one lucky winner, who will be drawn at random to win a FREE Whimsie Doodles image of their choice from our latest release.

This month, the theme is “Dress Warm” and I’m once again using Latte Lizzie on the What’s New page!  But this time I colored her up in warm greys and blue… she looks so different than the last time I colored her up in pink and brown!!

And I love this paper as a winter paper… it’s totally just a floral paper though lol!  I think it’s the combo of navy, red, and lighter blue too haha!!

Thanks for stopping by and hope you come join in the challenge!  See you soon!

Sparkle w/ATCAS

It’s challenge time over at the Addicted to CAS blog! The code word this week is SPARKLE.

I thought about doing some wintery snow card or glittery Christmas lights card because that would have totally been festive and everything since this is December but then thought, “nah.” haha! I also happened to grab this set by Paper Smooches – Spectrum while looking for something else and this layout just popped in my head. Love it when it works like this sometimes!  Because I know there are days where I stare and stare at a card or an image or a prompt and draw blanks. So it’s nice to have a card make itself in your brain every once in a while!

I colored him up with my Copics… yes, I said HIM. Amazing and sparkly unicorns are typically gendered male in this house! So anywhoo, I colored him up with my Copics, and added some stickles to his horn and on the stamped clouds in the square. I stamped the sentiment on that pink strip, well, because I totally smudged it when I tried to stamp the sentiment straight onto the card. haha!!! It was a quick fix, and I think it looks nice! The last thing I added were these iridescent purple sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Just love them, and I think I need to grab more pretty soon!!

And just because it’s so much fun, another close-up shot so you can see all the sparkle in the clouds and on his horn.

Hope you come join us! Thanks for stopping by!!

Abby Gables w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

I’m blogging over at Whimsie Doodles today!!  This pretty lady is Abby Gables towards the bottom of the What’s New page.

I needed a Christmas-ish thank you card and thought this was a good fit… because it’s kinda too early for really super Christmas-y cards but I wanted to keep it somewhat appropriate to the season, so the colors and polka-dot paper make it work!

Thanks for stopping by and see you again soon!!

Holiday Countdown with CCS

Hi Friends!! I’m blogging over at the CutCardstock blog today 🙂 Welcome to day EIGHT in this year’s holiday countdown series! I can’t believe Thanksgiving is over (for us in the USA) and I’m definitely in full-on Christmas mode!!

Today’s project is a super easy Christmas Tree card made with some of my much loved, and very much hoarded washi tape stash!! haha!! I started with some 80# Cougar White Cardstock. I absolutely LOVE  this cardstock and can’t wait to stamp on it or get it inky somehow to see how it holds up!! The texture is so smooth, it’s so wonderful to simply hold in your hands!!

I started by creating some A2 cards with some mats a little smaller than the card. In this case, my mats are 4″ x 5.25″.

After running them through my die-cut machine with a big ‘ol Christmas Tree die, I made sure to keep those tree cut-outs for something for later! I think I’ll play with some ink and color them up!!

Then I grabbed all the washi I could find in Christmas themes and colors, sticking with a bright red and green color scheme, and laid them out over the opening of my card. I wanted to make sure I covered all of the opening, but didn’t want to waste too much and just cover the entire thing… if that makes any sense.

I carefully placed the washi in the middle, and tried to leave the edges un-stuck so that I could easily lift off the card front and stick the washi down securely on the card.

After getting my washi down, I added some pop-dots to the back of the cut-out card front…

… and ta-dah!!! A super fun and bright Christmas Tree card ready to go!!!

It was really fun to play with all the different combinations of washi, and they were definitely easy and quick to put together too!!

Birthday Latte Lizzie w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

I’m blogging over at Whimsie Doodles today!!  It’s been off and on with the weather recently… and I’m hoping it stays cold for a long while.  But I can do without the rain!!  I’m getting poured on!!

I’m in LURRRRRVE with this pink and brown color combo.  Just adorable.  And I wasn’t super thrilled about this Happy Birthday paper I got in a paper pad, but I think it’s perfect for this card! It came out cute, right??

Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon!

I’m blogging over at Whimsie Doodles today!! This amazing dude is Leaf Me at the top third-ish of the People Digi’s page!

Okay so I know my friends that have to deal with fallen leaves and raking and stuff must hate me for saying this because we don’t really have autumn in Hawaii but I absolutely love the idea of falling leaves and changing colors and stuff!!

Well, that’s it for me today!  See you again soon!

‘O Christmas Tree! w/CCS

I’m blogging over at the CutCardstock blog today 🙂 I can’t believe it’s already November! Do you handmake your Christmas cards? I try really, really hard to, but always seem to fall short! So yikes, I think I need to get a move on making mines!!

I started by heat embossing my stamp – I wanted to make sure I matched the tree-green color to my card!! This beautiful tree and sentiment is stamped with my versamark  on Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock. I absolutely LOVE this cardstock for stamping on!!

Luckily this green embossing powder I chose matches a green from the Pop Tones cardstock collection. So next, I cut a piece of Vibrant Apple Green Pop Tones Cardstock in half to create my card base.

The last thing I did was throw another piece of Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and a strip of Wild Cherry Pop Tones cardstock in some embossing folders to give the card some extra oomph! And then stick it all down together, popping up that tree with some pop up squares and then sticking that button on with some Tombow Mono liquid glue… although just about any adhesive would have worked!

And ta-dah! I have a super quick and super cute Christmas card done! One more down, who knows how many to go lol!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make sure to stay up to date with the latest news and sales on the CutCardstock Facebook Page!!

Mummy Boy w/KC

Hello friends! Sharing another card using an amazing digi from the Kinda Cute by Patricia shop! This little dude is Mummy Boy, and he is ADORABLE and I can’t wait to play with him again!

And here’s a closeup of the sentiment because it didn’t stamp as dark as I hoped, and the twine blocks the top part of it.

Make sure you stop by the Kinda Cute by Patricia Facebook Group and see what the rest of the team is up to!!

December Daily Foundation Page #1 w/CCS

Hi Friends!! Iʻm blogging over at the CutCardstock blog today 🙂 Todayʻs project is another Christmas one, but one for my December Daily album. Do you do any memory keeping? Scrapbooking? Every year I do this project to document not only our December but the traditions and routines we go through during the Christmas season. Itʻs so much fun to see how things change and how many things stay the same!

This background paper is from the Royal Sundance collection. The beautiful Christmas green color is from their linen textured collection, 80# Emerald Cardstock. I usually make my December Daily albums 6×8, so went with that for my title page.

Then I got out my big grid acrylic block, a clear stamp with a beautiful script “Christmas” word, and some gold embossing powder.

I stamped all over my piece of 80# Emerald Cardstock using my versamark, and then embossed away! I tried my best to keep it straight (yay for grid lines!) and embossed about half the card at a time because Iʻm always afraid of the ink losing its stickiness before I can get to it!!

Hereʻs the completed panel with embossed words. so pretty! I might make another one and just leave it as a full page instead of covering it up next time!!

Finally, I added some cute Christmas tree covered kraft paper, a 3×4 journaling card, and some chipboard stickers.

All that was left to do was do a little bit of journaling, and ta-dah! Iʻm already set to start my December album!!! haha!!
