Disney Mini-Albums w/CCS

I can’t believe it’s the end of the month!! Where has the time gone? I know my time has gone to the end of the semester and finals… but luckily I still manage to carve out some crafty time for myself once in a while too!!  Like today… I’m blogging over at the blog!!

I just found out that my niece is going to visit her sister in Florida next week!! My Florida niece is working at Disney World, and she gets to hang out in character all the time!! What fun for her!! So my project to share today are these matching mini-accordion albums perfect for holding a handful of Instax pictures!

This beautiful glitter paper and glitter cardstock were actually my inspiration for this project.  I’ve been hoarding this Disney-inspired paper since it came out, and now that it’s been reimagined and done a 3rd time, I figured it was time to do something with it!!  haha!!

The first thing I did was cut down some scrap 12″ x 12″ paper  into 5″ x 12″ strips, and then fold them into thirds.  I also cut down some Black Glitter Paper and Gold Glitter Cardstock into 3.25″ x 4.25″ mats, perfect for these pocket cards.

I overlapped one panel of the white strips, and then glued them together.  This made a nice mini-album of 5 panels on each side.

I cut down some 12″ x 12″ paper into 4″ x 5″ pieces and then glued them down to all the panels.

On the very back panel, I used some sticky to center my ribbon.  It’s okay that the sticky is bigger than the ribbon, because I knew I was going to cover it up with a pocket card, which I matted with one of the Black Glitter Paper pieces.

The last thing I did before tying up the album was to add the front pocket card (mounted on the Gold Glitter Cardstock piece) and then add some more pocket cards to every-other panel.  Here’s the front side of the album:

And the back side of the album:

And what it looks like all tied up!  I made sure to leave the ribbon extra long because I know the album will get thicker as they glue in their pictures.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!  I absolutely love how the glitter paper I used just added that little extra pop to these albums!!  Make sure to pop on over to the CutCardstock blog to see what else the DT has been up to and stay up to date with the latest news and sales on the CutCardstock Facebook Page!!

It’s time for a new monthly challenge over at Whimsie Doodles!!  We will have one lucky winner, who will be drawn at random to win a FREE Whimsie Doodles image of their choice from our latest release.

This month, the theme is “Food or Drink” and I’m using Smokin’ Hot a little past the middle of the People Digi’s page!

This digi is awesome because the sentiment comes with it… how perfect is that?!?  I hate having to look for sentiments sometimes so it was really nice to not have to look this time!

Hope you come join in our challenge, it’s so much fun!!

Happy Easter Card w/CCS

Happy March friends!!  Can you believe it’s already the end of the month?? Where did the time go??I’m blogging today over at the CutCardstock Blog!!

Today I’m sharing a super fun Easter card featuring this super beautiful 111# Mandarin orange shimmery paper from the Curious Metallic line!!

I used a super fun stitched tag die to cut into a sheet of 111# Mandarin.  Look at that shine!!

Next I used some super fun color inks and a little Easter egg stamp to stamp all over a scrap of white 80# Cougar White Cardstock

…and then WHOOPS realized that the scrap I used was too short for the tag lol!!  So what I did was just cut out the full length of the tag in two pieces…

…and then using the 111# Mandarin tag as a guide, glued the two pieces together.

I stamped the sentiment on more scrap 80# Cougar White Cardstock, and then used a scrap strip of 111# Mandarin and fishtailed both ends to make banners to cover up the seam where I had to stick the tag together lol!!  I laid out the card and then realized I needed something a little more on the tag, so I went back to digging through the stamps!

I found this adorable bunny and fussy cut him out before coloring him up with my Copics… quick and cute!!

Then I laid everything back out to make sure I liked the look of the card and then glued everything down!!

Here’s the final card after adding a super fun and super big brad and some bright pink ribbon.

And a closeup of the little bunny popped up on 3D dots!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you come back soon!!  And make sure to check out the CutCardStock Facebook Page to see what else the Design Team is up to and to make sure to stay up-to-date with the latest sale!!

Easter Egg Bun w/WD

Whimsie Doodles Banner

I’m blogging over at Whimsie Doodles today!!  This cutie is just a quick reminder to join in our monthly challenge!  As always, it’s anything goes with an optional twist, and this month the twist is “Bunnies.”  This cutie is Bunny Egg on the Easter digis page.

I paired her up with some super bright and super old (surprise I’ve used old paper lol!!) paper I couldn’t figure out what to do with for so long!!  But I think this came out so bright and cheery and fun, I love it!!  And here’s a closeup of how I popped this cutie up and colored her up with my Copics.  And yes, I HAND fussy-cut this cutie out.  I don’t trust my Scan N Cut to cut precisely on the lines… giving a little border is okay but just not on the lines!!

So fun!!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I’ll see you again soon!!  Hope to see you join in this month’s challenge!!!

Beary Best Flags w/OAK

Here’s another card from the Bear Hugs set in the Oak Tree Stamps store… I think it’s all sold out as a clear stamp, but the digital files are still available so at least there’s that option!!

I just couldn’t resist… I made another CAS card with him, adding some super fun banners and colorful baker’s twine to the top of the card to finish it off!!

This is also card #5 in my WIW series for this set!!

With Heartfelt Sympathy w/CCS

Happy March friends!!  kel here to share my first post as part of the CutCardstock Design Team!!!  Can I just share how *squeeeee!* excited I am?!?

For my first project today I’m sharing a simple sympathy card featuring some colors from the Curious Metallic line!!  And I apologize for the shadows in some of my pictures… we just finished our window renovations and I’m still trying to figure out how to deal with the new way the light comes into the room lol!!

I cut into three different colors of Curious Metallic cardstock, making an A4 base with 111# Nude, mat with 111# Blue Print, and front with 89# Poison Ivory.

I took some fun circle stamps in some matching ink colors and stamped around on the 89# Poison Ivory card front in a random-ish pattern.  Make sure to put some scratch paper down when you stamp off the edge so you don’t have ink everywhere lol!!

The last thing I stamped was a 1″ scrap of 111# Nude, cut into a little flag banner and then stamped on with a simply beautiful sympathy sentiment.

I then glued everything together, centering all the panels and then adding the sentiment banner to the top right corner of the card.

I always struggle with sympathy cards because I tend to always make them floral or kind of dull and colorless.  So it was a challenge for me to do something different, and I have to say that I’m really happy with how it came out!!

And I like that there’s a little flare of shimmer to the card too… I’m always afraid of adding too many embellishments but then afraid that it’s too boring without it… so this little bit of shimmer is just perfect!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you come back soon!!  And make sure to check out the CutCardStock Facebook Page to see what else the Design Team is up to and to make sure to stay up-to-date with the latest sale!!

Whimsie Doodles Banner

It’s time for a new monthly challenge over at Whimsie Doodles!!  We will have one lucky winner, who will be drawn at random to win a FREE Whimsie Doodles image of their choice from our latest release.

This month, the theme is “Anything Goes w/optional twist: Work Related.”  This sweetie is Apple Lizzy at the top of the School digis page!

So I made it a point to go through my printed/stamped digi stash and try and see if I can pare some of it down… my folders are overflowing!!  And I think I have enough printed Whimsie Doodles digis to last me the whole year lol!!  In fact, I probably have enough printed digis to last me a couple years!! haha!!

Anywhoo, back to my point… this sweetie is one Iʻve used before but I definitely wanted to make another card with her!  She is too cute not to use again and again!!

Hope you come join us in the challenge, you donʻt need to use a Whimise Doodles digi to play!!
